To everyone, happy new year

And from Dr. Eric Brown:

"The future is not yet written, so make it a good one."

I'm in a cool place right now, hope to have good pics

Now that MLP FIM Season 5 is over, how do you feel about Starlight Glimmer's "tragic backstory?" *sniggers*

It makes sense - but I feel the pettiness of how she handled it as others have pointed out

Along with the (for granted) progression and "resolution"

More like the show is trying to use extremes alone to excuse itself from its (for granted) philosophies and "problem solving"

Glimmer did something ridiculous and unnecessary to address her problem, she isn't the first "villain" or even "hero" to do this by now.

Any other questions?

P.S.- The way I see it there comes a time in one's life when one must cast aside childish things, Starlight Glimmer missed her time, you don't just do that, and for that I curse her.

I would for the pettiness and poor choice of action

Not for the reason

But yeah, pretty stupid to enact complete oblivion just to spite one princess ...

Seeing as obviously targeting her alone would have been perhaps a more effective route... As she could apparently out perform or out last her adversary - Equestria didn't have to burn for it ... Even if the ponies all deserved it in some way ...

Besides, what kind of message would have been sent if the "princess of friendship" is outright defeated and even disabled - destroy her power- indefinitely in single combat by an unidentified assailant?

It would shatter the delusion glimmer allegedly wanted to destroy in the first place

So much potential... So misguided .... Even when it's being selfish

Hell, glimmer could have planted ideas throughout history that would have birthed a movement of ponies into rejecting the status quo for its convenient oversights and effectively even prove princesses to be painfully vain redundancies

So yeah, forget about being childish and let's just settle for sanely reasonable

No.  I'd just like to say that Starlight Glimmer, with all that she is and represents has given me the worst case of uncalled-for grief, and may God have mercy on her.
